Teens girls are the latest victim of Clinton legacy
of lies "Move over Monica Lewinsky," said Why Life?
director Cathy Brown. "Bill Clinton is using the FDA
to mislead teenage girls and ruin lives." In an interview
with Elle magazine this week, Brown said the FDA has
failed to report the RU-486 abortion pill's health risks
for adolescents. In addition, there are virtually no
restrictions on RU-486. Teens are particularly at risk,
Brown said, since Danco Laboratories (the company that
makes the abortion pill) and Planned Parenthood are
giving teens misinformation about RU-486. Brown pointed
out that Danco's website omits the word "abortion" entirely.
Instead, Danco calls RU-486 the "early option pill."
"To the average teen who browses Danco's website," Brown
said, "RU-486 looks like a pill that simply ends an
unplanned pregnancy -- not one that takes a human life."
According to Danco's web site, heavy bleeding and the
possible passage of tissue and blood clots are "normal"
side effects of the pill. "But Danco omits the fact
that the mother may be witnessing the passage of arms,
legs, hands, feet and pieces of the spinal column,"
Brown stated. "If this isn't emotionally devastating,
I don't know what is." In addition, Brown pointed out,
Planned Parenthood's website states that "no deaths
have ever taken place as a result of the use of" RU-486.
Brown corrected the record by saying that it is common
knowledge that women in Europe have, in fact, died after
taking the abortion pill. Planned Parenthood's Teenwire
website informs young girls where they can purchase
the pill and other contraceptives. "Those who are pushing
RU-486 on America's teens are particularly reckless,"
Brown said. "At stake here is the physical and psychological
devastation of millions of young women, and the deaths
of millions of preborn human beings." |
